Elizabeth Geyer

Jazz inspired flugel horn/ trumpet player and singer/songwriter Elizabeth Geyer is one of Australia's most exciting artists.  Putting her unique stamp on much loved swing jazz standards and her own material, Elizabeth connects to her audiences with an understated passion and warmth that is winning an international following through her albums and live performances. 

Few musicians are blessed with talents like Liz Geyer. Not only does she excel on piano, Liz is also a very talented trumpet player and is gifted with a beautiful voice.  She stands out as a soloist, as well as performing in duo, trio or quartet format. 

Liz is a featured artist with John Morrison’s Swing City. She performed with James Morrison in the Opening Ceremony for the Sydney Olympic Games 2000.  Her self titled CD was listed in Birdlands Bestseller List 2000 under the Category of ‘Australian Jazz & Blues’.

She has also featured annually at many jazz festivals such as the Monterey Jazz Festival, Monsalvat Jazz Festival and the Australian and Darling Harbour Jazz Festivals.  After performing extensively in the US and Europe in 2007, Elizabeth released her third album, 'On Patrol with the Jazz Police' and in 2009 her song The Dream won the Best Song category in international competition IAC. The Dream was featured on the American US Smooth Jazz Compilation CD in 2010.

With her own Jazz group, comprising of the cream of Sydney’s sought after musicians, Elizabeth receives rave reviews whenever she performs – her beautiful voice and unique musicianship is mesmerizing and totally entertaining.
