Since being crowned Australian Idol in 2006, Damien has enjoyed the most remarkable of music careers, becoming one of the best-selling Australian artists of the modern era, with combined album sales nudging the one million mark.

His previous albums are: 2006's The Winner's Journey [#1, 4X platinum, ARIA Award for highest selling album]; 2007's Where We Land [#1, platinum], 2008's Catch the Wind [#2, platinum], 2009's Remember June [#25, gold] and last year's ROY – A Tribute to Roy Orbison [#2, platinum]. In 2012, Damien's fifth studio album Now & Then was released. It debuted at #14 and peaked at #12 on the ARIA Charts, and spent four weeks in the top 50.

The success of ROY was the cornerstone of an unbelievable 2011 for Damien.  A national concert tour in support of the album saw Damien and his band playing sell-out shows all around the country. He also managed to find time to compete and make it to the finals of Dancing with the Stars, as well as hosting another television program, New Idea Test Kitchen.  Damien is currently also writing his third novel, as well as penning a fortnightly column for The Punch website.

For all the success and for as much as he loves playing the great songs by the artists that inspired him to become a singer/songwriter, Damien also felt compelled with NOW & THEN to have some of the focus return to his own song writing. His trademark lilting vocals and emotive performance style are key to the brilliant brand new songs he presents on NOW & THEN: "Let Me Be Your Rescue", "500 Reasons", "Maybe Someday", "Run", "Unless You Say So" and the new take on "Beautiful".

"The original element on this new album is so important to me," Damien explains. "It's all well and good doing covers – and I like doing covers – but you like to have something personal there that, in years to come, your own kids might listen to and go, 'Well, this song is important to me.' Because all the songs that I write or co-write, generally in the co-writing situation, I normally write the lyrics, so they always come from something personal for me."

Damien’s latest album, Chapter Seven, has received rave reviews and had him touring extensively throughout Australia and Europe.

Damien is in demand as a TV host for Australian shows. He has hosted the Australian TV Series, Saving Kids, as well as New Idea Test Kitchen (Channel 7Two) and Great Easter Feasts with Rachael Finch (Channel 7, March 2013). He regularly fills in as co-host on Channel 7’s The Morning Show and was a celebrity contestant and finalist on the 2011 series of Dancing with the Stars.
